Annual fundraising event honors grief, connection, and hope.

We partner with Myra’s Kids Foundation on their annual Ignite fundraiser – an evening dedicated to supporting children and families navigating the profound journey of grief. This event plays a vital role in funding the organization’s free, year-round programming, including summer camps and peer support groups. Through these initiatives, Myra’s Kids offers safe spaces for young people to connect, remember, and heal.

A dimly lit indoor space features large posters with photos and quotes, each surrounded by small lanterns on the floor. The posters highlight friendship and community, with a group photo on the nearest display.

We concepturalized and designed a full suite of event materials, including environmental graphics, signage, and story-driven displays. Each piece guided guests through the space while honoring the lived experiences of the families Myra’s Kids supports. From statistic walls that celebrated the past year’s achievements to a reading-corner-inspired installation to launch Founder Jon Reider’s first children’s book, You Know I’m Here, the design built a space grounded in compassion and community. 200 copies of the book were sold that night.

Close-up of a display board with statistics. Text reads: “10 Elementary & High School visits to raise awareness about children’s grief” and “1,100 Views of The Missing Piece documentary.” A QR code is visible at the bottom right.

A central feature was the statistic wall, an engaging display that highlighted real impact the foundation achieved over the past year. From the number of children who attended their free grief summer camp, to the reach of their The Missing Piece documentary, to the growing number of schools participating in their workshops, each number told a powerful story. Informative posters and banners throughout the venue anchored the event with many featuring the organization’s signature blue butterfly – an enduring symbol of remembrance, transformation, and hope.
