A report honouring intergenerational connection between students and Elders.
Our design for the Cree School Board's 2024-2025 annual report was designed around the theme of interconnectedness. The report centers on intergenerational learning— the knowledge shared between generations, the teachings passed down, and the wisdom carried forward.
The relationship between Elders and students is central throughout the design to show that learning extends beyond the classroom, weaved into everyday life. Photographs highlight moments of exchange, storytelling, and guidance, emphasizing the important role Elders play in nurturing cultural knowledge and identity.
Vibrant colours and bright threads weave throughout the publication, connecting pages, images, and voices. The threads symbolize the bonds between generations and the enduring path of knowledge passed forward. Education is not a single path, but a network of relationships, experiences, and teachings that continue to grow.
