We were proud to design the Cree School Board’s 2023-24 Annual Report, a publication that highlights the versatility and beauty of the Cree language while reinforcing the Cree School Board’s commitment to education success. Centred around the themes of language, Cree elders, and community, this design promotes transparency, celebrates achievements, fosters engagement, and outlines strategic plans for the future.

The cover features spot UV syllabics, mimicking the teaching charts used in schools, along with a delicate flower motif inspired by Cree beadwork – a nod to tradition and craftsmanship.

The bold colour palette of purples, yellows, and turquoise brings energy to the pages, while Cree syllabics are woven throughout, reinforcing the strength and continuity of the language. 

Inside, striking photography captures the faces and spirit of the community, complemented by large-scale data visualizations that make key information clear and accessible. The result is a report that is not only informative but deeply rooted in the culture and identity of the Cree Nation.
