Deepening understanding of the coastal ecosystems in Eeyou Istchee.

The Coastal Habitat Comprehensive Research Project (CHCRP) is a large-scale initiative dedicated to studying and preserving the eastern coast of James Bay, including the Cree coastal communities of Waskaganish, Eastmain, Wemindji, and Chisasibi. This vital research aims to deepen our understanding of the coastal ecosystems in Eeyou Istchee and ensure their protection for future generations.

The CHCRP’s previous website wasn’t fully engaging its audience. Our redesign introduced a bright, user-friendly aesthetic that showcases stunning photography of the land, water, and wildlife the CHCRP works to protect. Rounded shapes and a clean, easy-to-read font create an inviting place where intuitive navigation and clearly structured sections allow visitors to explore key information with ease. To enhance engagement, subtle animations add a layer of interactivity, making the online experience both informative and dynamic.

With a design that reflects both the beauty and significance of Eeyou Istchee’s coastal ecosystems, the new website has seen increased traffic and now serves as a gateway for visitors to discover the CHCRP’s vital research and conservation work.
