MUSIC MONDAYS: A MEANINGFUL MESSAGE SET TO COLDPLAY’S IN MY PLACE video

Over the past couple of months, thousands of people from around the world have submitted nearly seven thousand videos and photographs to produce a crowd sourced video set to an acoustic version of Coldplay’s famous track “In My Place”. The concept and film was created by award winning director Mat Whitecross, in association with Oxfam, to echo the dislocation and displacement thousands of families experience as a result of land grabs. He created this film featuring thousands of Coldplay fans, including singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and rock band Wolf Gang was launched to highlight the injustice of land grabs. POWERFUL AD CAMPAIGN FOR AMERICA’S MOMS DEMAND ACTION image

A power ad campaign designed for the gun control advocacy group Moms Demand Action. It reads: “We won’t sell Kinder chocolate eggs in the interest of child safety. Why not assault weapons?” Mothers Demand Action founder Shannon Watts told ABC news; “It’s this idea of juxtaposing the absurdity of what America is so worried about harming our children, yet we do not have an assault weapons ban.  We have such lax gun laws in this country and yet we pretend to be so concerned about our children,”
