ANIMALS IN THE CITY: PHOTOGRAPHY BY DI LIU image

25 year old Chinese photographer Di Liu won the 2010 Lacoste Elysée prize for his work about the conflicting relationship between animals and the rate of urban development. “As consumer merchandise, the L. 12. 12 polo shirt is the exact opposite of nature. however, by choosing an animal as its symbol, lacoste reflects its spirit. thus, lacoste imports an element of nature into people’s daily lives.” Di Liu. Liu has cleverly and discreetly incorporated 3 Lacoste shirts into each of the compositions. The work of the twelve nominees is currently being exhibited at galleria carla sozzani in Milan until January 9.
